German A little about us, Brew Bus Amsterdam. It sounds like a cliché, but it's true. We started with a passion for beer.
The Beer guy!
Walther Bakker, our founder, driver, guide, handyman, reservation and operational employee wears many hats in the company :).
He had always worked in tourism and during the weekends he was mainly busy with his hobby, drinking beer!
The idea
In 2016 he went on holiday to America, there he did a wine tour, a bus went along different vineyards where you got a wine tasting. At the end of the afternoon it was of course very cozy in the bus and everyone had become best friends.
Because the link with tourism and the passion for beer was already there, the idea came to start this concept in Amsterdam but with beer instead of wine. This took a while before it came about, but in February 2020 it was ready and Brew Bus Amsterdam was born
A brewery tour along three different breweries in a stylish bus, at each brewery you get a beer tasting and at the second brewery you also get a short tour through the brewery! Great fun for beer lovers, team outings, bachelor parties and much more!
A short break :(
From March 2020 the Covid period started immediately, so after 1 month the bus could go back to the garage for a break of 2.5 years. But in the meantime, hard work was done behind the scenes on the product and everything was ready when the Netherlands opened up again!
One more thing about us, we're at it again!
In the meantime, a beer tasting has also been added as a 1-hour activity in Amsterdam. We offer beer tastings on location. We have even started brewing beer, how cool is that?
